Party slice or wedding slice?
Party slices (about 1.5" x 2") are for birthdays and celebrations where cake is dessert. Wedding finger slices (about 1" x 2") are smaller, served with coffee or after a meal – so the same cake feeds more people.
Popular cake sizes
- Small birthday (8–12 people): 6" round
- Family party (15–20): 8" round
- Big birthday (30–40): 12" round or a 2-tier 6" + 8"/10"
- Wedding (80–100): 3 tiers, e.g. 6" + 9" + 12"
